Grammata, the Spanish technology company has presented today its new electronic book which it has baptized with the name of Papyre 630 And that will hit the market in the first week of December at a price of 129 euros with quite renewed characteristics and aesthetics compared to previous models that the Spanish company had available in the market.

This new device will be a total renovation compared to previous devices since it will have a touch screen, WiFi connectivity and a front light that will allow us to enjoy reading even in situations of total darkness.

Papyre 630 Features and Specifications:

Go news, after so much time with my papyre 6.1 and after searching and looking for a substitute will it be possible that a papyre will be the perfect option for me ??? I was almost decided by the Icarus Illumina HD but I was thrown back by the fact that there was no support in Spain (although Grammata's support is not even close to what it was because of what I have been told, hopefully it improves)

I have been looking at the official website and it is not announced, where have you seen the news?

It was an official Grammata press release that reached us yesterday that informed us of the launch. We were the first to announce it :))

I think it's great. At last Grammata gets back on its feet. Their products had become somewhat obsolete and with this they are at the level of the Kindle, Kobo, etc…. It was about time they incorporated wifi, touch, light ... I also see that they maintain the physical buttons for turning the page, I personally don't care but I'm sure it will please many. You say the price ... well, it costs the same as the kindle Paperwhite offering the same + card reader and greater compatibility of formats. Kindle has a great fame (deserved on the other hand) and its total integration with a giant like Amazon (huge advantage) but this Papyre, a priori (you have to analyze it live or wait for reviews), is up to the task. Good for Grammata. My congratulations.

I still have the old 6.1 papyre which is the only one that has paid off and which still works relatively well after so long. Several years later I made the mistake of giving away the 601, mainly because it was a Spanish company and the memory of good customer service, but nothing could be further from the truth. The devices were a disaster, the customer service excuses were of pain and many fights and expense of tlf. to get my money back or change the device ... In short, the various devices spent more time in the technical service than at home. I plan to renew my beloved but old 6.1, but of course I will not fall into the same mistake of being faithful to a brand because of the very good start, I will go to one of proven quality over time AND endorsed by criticism and by tens of thousands of satisfied customers. To the previous comment I advise you to think about it, and if you are going to choose that new papyre, that at least it is not the first guinea pig and awaits the opinions of other buyers. You can save yourself a lot of trouble.

The best, the front light to read at night. It looks so good.

Best opinion, let's not play guinea pigs.
Papyre, the name given in Spain to an eReader that is manufactured in Asia.
The price, the same as the Last of bq, which I would choose before the Last Papyre, with similar characteristics, and made in Spain.
We will have to wait to see how they work.
I want an eReader, and I was debating between bq and Kobo, but I'll wait to see how this new Papyre goes, good features and some side buttons, also for left-handed people, very comfortable.

    1.    Oscar said

It will be that the bq is manufactured in Spain….

To say that BQ manufactures in Spain is a lot to say ... The last BQ Cervantes, it turns out, is the Shine Cream that has been marketed in Japan since the middle of the year ... It is a very good ereader, but BQ decided to launch it with Linux OS, while the Shine Cream comes with Android 4.x ... I only say this for people who still think that BQ has its own manufacture. 😀

Those of Papyre do not care much. They haven't even fully translated the 630 firmware, so for some options you have to learn Chinese. The screen lighting is quite erratic, so late, expensive, and bad.

They gave me papyre 630 for Valentine's Day and what a disappointment or not to handle it. I want to make the font the size that I can read to my liking and the whole page does not fit me, I have to drag the sheet to read and if I put a book in Word I can't read it vertically in the size I want on a whole sheet, it puts a very small font size. You can help or I will change it. I had 5.1 and for me a wonder

    1.    carmen hdez said

Hi Loly ... I am sure it has a specific format where you can read the entire page ... I have the 613 and it happened to me, now I read in fb2 format. And how are you doing with the new 630 ???

I have a Papyre 622, which has not given any problem, I want to know if the star dict mini Rae dictionary that I have installed would be valid for the 630, and if not, where can I get it? Because in his day I couldn't get it anywhere, thanks to a charitable soul who passed it on to me. And also know in which physical stores you can see it, because so far I don't see it in any. Thanks.

For those of you who are thinking about Bq touch cervantes, I strongly discourage it. I was doing better with my 6.1 papyre. The bq gives many USB connection problems (It connects one yes and twenty no, that is, when it feels like it), it only supports 8-gigabyte misroSd and now I have problems with the battery life. save the page for which you were reading etc etc What I said, look at another

I had a 6.1 papyre, this Christmas I bought the 630. It is true that at the first moment I did not know if it had been a good choice, since with my old 6.1 I was super happy. but I can tell you that these 5 months that I have been with him I am loving it. regards :))

I have been with my papyre 2 for 630 months, I have had a sony prs-t3 that they are still repairing it with a valid warranty, which makes me never buy sony again in my life, without suffering a fall or accident, it does not stop turning pages back with That to repair has been said. A great disappointment.
Comparing it with the payre, in its favor say that the payre is a joy to read at night, thanks to its backlighting, a 10, the management of the library and the different formats is more intuitive than the sony.
Against it, the shorter battery life (I think it is due to the intensive use of light, which I do), and the clarity of the screen that is much sharper on the sony, as well as the use of more direct dictionaries in the sony (just click on the word in question, in the papyre you have to quit reading to search the dictionary).

In short, I regret the change at all, it is more than having known it for days that I bought the sony, the papyre I got it in an offer for € 100 in its official grammata payment, I think it is normally worth € 130.

    Greetings, I hope I've helped.

I have had the Papyre for two weeks. I've been testing it thoroughly and liked its finish and screen response. I also like that it has two buttons for page up and down (which take over the functions of the touch screen) and screen refresh. However, there are some things that have not convinced me at all, for example its processor. In the article it says that it has an RK2818 cpu at 1,2 Ghz but in reality it goes to 600Mhz and I think it should be increased. I also think that the price should be somewhat cheaper, around 100 euros (given its benefits). However, I believe that its finishes and materials are of the highest quality and at the moment it is giving me very good results. As for the front lighting, it works perfectly and select between eight different levels of brightness. The battery charges quite quickly, as it currently takes me less than three hours, a very positive point if we compare it with other e-readers that can take about eight hours. As for its handling, it is very intuitive. And finally say that it is a Spanish company. Therefore, the global balance is positive and I patch it up. Greetings to all!

I have and papyre 630 for a few months. In general, very good. Quite intuitive. But the dictionary was not incorporated. In addition, every so often it is "locked" for at least 7 to 10 minutes and does not allow me to do anything: forward, backward, consult library, not even turn off. Does this happen to someone else? Could it be a breakdown?

I sold it, it was impossible to handle it and I rest the prosimium that he buys me that can read all the formats I download it from where I download

Papyre is a fiasco, technically it is not as good as they say it has flaws and apart from that the company is not very serious. I bought a series of ebooks from the Grammata website and they won't let me download them. When I claim they promised me, a month ago to give me that money back. If it broke that's the coverage they give you. I do not recommend buying papyre, there are other readers from more reliable companies.
