Based on the specification list, the Onyx Boox Max will have Android 4.0, a 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage with the ability to extend memory via a microSD card. A device that is like an Android tablet with two speakers, a microphone, a jack output, Bluetooth and Wifi.

The screen Pearl E-ink will be flexible and its screen resolution of 1600 x 1200 or 2200 x 1650. Nothing is known about the front light, although it is said that the touch screen will have a stylus.

An interesting device that comes with the clear target for reading But, having Android, it will allow you to open your possibilities to be able to read RSS or use other news apps with which to be attentive to everything that happens daily through an electronic ink screen.

We do not know at the moment its price, something vital to be able to better understand this device and what place it will place in the market, a bit saturated, of tablets and ereaders where it is very difficult to stand out.

Pricing is important in determining whether you will be successful. How much does the device weigh?
Anyway for my personal taste I don't see it. You do not need such a large screen to read novels and to read other types of documents (scientific books, comics, magazines, etc.) you need color. Hopefully one day they will present an ereader model of this size but with a quality color screen.

Everyone is free to see great advantages or not see any in what they want, of course. In my case, where you say "necessary" I only say "desirable." Right now I'm dying to have a 13,13-inch device where I can read my newspapers and Internet magazines at a good size (that makes the lack of color anecdotal and you will tell me how much color lacks in a newspaper), to be able to read my European album size comics (Tintin size, to understand each other), many of them in black and white, and (great!) to be able to leave the folder with scores at home and go to the choir just with my brand new electronic reader ! Just thinking about it makes me smile ...…

«... I can't stand reading on the screen anymore, my eyes are going to burn.»

Exactly! That's something that those who are lucky enough to not mind reading on LCD screens can not understand, but half the population is screwed.

I've been waiting for a 13.3 ′ ereader for years. It would be very useful to me for the large amount of pdf that I read throughout the year. I read programming books, I don't care about color.
The only Sony DPT-S1 PDF Reader available so far has dropped a lot in price (now $ 799), but is only sold in the USA. There are US companies that buy it on your behalf and send it to you, but between that cost and that of (possibly) customs it would still go up quite a bit.
I'm waiting to see what price it comes at and the first reviews, but I almost fixed that I buy it, I can't stand reading on the screen anymore, my eyes are going to burn.
