After a long time testing it and seeing what it offers us, finally I present to you the review on the Tagus Lux 2015, the new eReader that La Casa del Libro presented a month ago and that brings many pleasant surprises.
This review I have divided into two videos since there is a lot to tell and in just one everything would be very boring. The first part deals with the hardware of the device, a modest hardware for a tablet but quite interesting for an eReader.
If you have already had the opportunity to see a Tagus Lux, you will think that the 2015 version does not change much compared to previous versions, however the interior always counts and in this case it is.
The Tagus Lux 2015 has a dual core processor with 512MB of ram. Very powerful although the same in the ram memory would have increased it, but since we have been living a crisis with memories for a long time, Tagus may have been forced to leave the 512 Mb. The screen is touch and has lighting, but there is also a Button panel on the sides that really improves the use of the device.
Maybe maybe the negative point, the big negative point of this eReader is that the illumination of the screen only works through a software button and not with a physical button like many eReaders.
But the most impressive thing for me has been the software. Once we start the eReader, something that happens relatively quickly, I go to configuration to see what software it has since there are many rumors that point to it could be the Onyx Boox AfterGlow 2. I look at the configuration and indeed, it has Android 4.2, that is, the rumors are true and we are facing the AfterGlow 2 from Onyx Boox.
The downside of all this is that the Tagus Lux 2015 comes without rooting, or what is the same, we will not have full access to the ereader and therefore we will not be able to install the Google or Amazon Play Store. However, everything has a solution and we will quickly see how someone can install it. Still, the Tagus Lux 2015 comes with the Evernote app installed, Twitter and Facebook are installed and the radio to listen to podcasts, of course Google Calendar is installed with what, in addition to eReader, can be an electronic agenda.
Then in the reading aspect, the software is very complete, not only do we have a dictionary but we can modify any ebook that we read, now, if we don't like it, we can always install a reading app and that's it. There is no problem with that.
Surprisingly, the Tagus Lux 2015 is very economical, Unlike its older brother, the AfterGlow 2. While the Spanish version costs 99 euros, the Afterglow 2 was worth around 124 euros when it came out, a difference of 25 euros that we can either spend on ebooks, in a case for our ereader or simply for ourselves. .
Evaluation of the Tagus Lux 2015
I have been very and pleasantly surprised by this eReader, not only for what it can offer us but for the simple fact that it is sold cheaply and is a national product ( good semi national) what happens that like everything, in Spain we don't pay much attention and we make mistakes. I think that given such qualities, La Casa del Libro should have made more publicity and announced its changes, it could also have offered a rooted version that, although it would be throwing stones on its roof, I think it would have a pleasant impact on the bookstore and could also expand its sales. If they continue like this I think the 2016 version is going to be very interesting Do not you think?

The battery problems were when putting the ereader to sleep. They have been fixed in the latest firmware.

I was hoping this forum would give me some clue and what they give me is the desire to stop wasting time with this garbage.
