How to make the Play Store work on our Fire after the update

Amazon Fire

As many of you know, Amazon tablets have been updated to a new version that includes the Alexa voice assistant. This has meant a great change for its users but even more for those who had the Play Store installed on this device.

The new update on the device has caused certain apps to stop working as they should, especially those that are installed manually. In particular, the Google Play Store has stopped working. A rather important service for certain users.

Several users have complained about the situation. In XDA Forums have found a solution. It is not a very official solution but it is a working solution and at least until the next update it will work without problems.

Alexa onboarding causes issues with the Play Store on Fire tablets

The solution consists of installing the latest versions of two of the apps that Google has in its GAPPS package, these apps are called Google Account Manager and Google Services Framework. These apps when updated make the Play Store work again.

To install Google Play on Kindle Fire, we must first download the packages here y here. Once we have the apk file, we pass it to the device. Before installing, we go to Settings and we go to the Security menu that allows us to install files outside the Amazon Appstore. After activating it, we install the apks that we have downloaded and after installation we reboot the system.

Once we have restarted the system, our Fire will once again have the Play Store working and We can download any app from the store as well as other types of content. Something that many users prefer over the Amazon Appstore. In any case, if you can I recommend you download all Google Gapps and update the applications on our Fire, so we will avoid having major problems.

Thank you very much for the contribution Joaquin!

I have had some little problems during the process, the years were installed but it would not let me open them. I finally gave up, because after restarting and repeating the process it did not work. I don't know how, but now I have taken the sign and the applications have been updated and I have the playa store active again.

I can finally use my tablet again! Because since it stopped working with the last update, it had been abandoned.

    A greeting.
