Pocketbook Touch Lux 3, another ereader with Carta?

Pocketbook Touch Lux 3

Thanks to a sales catalog on a German website, we have learned of the existence of a new eReader with Carta technology or at least that is what it says since the manufacturer is Pocketbook. This eReader will be called Pocketbook Touch Lux 3, a well-known name.

The Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 would have a 6 ″ screen with Carta technology. This eReader would not have the same resolution as the Kobo GloHD but a little smaller, more similar to Tolino Vision 2, 1.024 x 758 pixels and its screen, as its name suggests, would be tactile and illuminated.

In addition, the Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 would have a slot for sd cards, something that seems increasingly rare in the latest eReaders and that I think is a good feature. Regarding the hardware, it is known that it will have a 1 Ghz processor and 256 Mb of ram memory. The internal storage is 4 Gb like the latest eReaders models and it will have no audio. Regarding autonomy, the Pocketbook Touch Lux will have a 1.500 mAh battery, it has Wi-Fi and a microusb output. The price of Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 will be around 110 euros, although it is the price that the German website has set.

We know the existence of the Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 thanks to the sale on a German website

Apparently this information is not very reliable, since in some parts it appears that it has 512 Mb of ram and in others 256 Mb and on the other hand, the eReader company has not commented on the matter. Still the existence of this eReader is confirmed. If we compare Pocketbook Touch Lux 3 with the rest of eReaders we see how we have another mid-range eReader, with good features and a normal price. Perhaps the only virtue of this eReader is that it does not have any predefined app and ebook store, so we can use any purchased ebook, something that does not happen with the Kindle Paperwhite or the Kobo Glo HD, whose read ebooks have to be purchased at the header ebookstore.

I personally find this ereader interesting in the sense that with its appearance it would be establishing a series of fixed characteristics to all mid-range eReaders and that are very the same but also very competitive and attractive for the user. Even so, I recognize that Pocketbook has a bad reputation, so the Pocketbook Touch Lux may not be as successful as its rivals. What do you think?
