Noteslate Shiro, one more step towards the digital notebook

Notes late Shiro

It's been a few months since quite an interesting piece of news appeared, a digital notebook with a color e-ink screen. This digital notebook was created by Noteslate, something that was a revolution but soon after became vaporware.

It seems that the device became vaporware but not the desire for Noteslate, so after a few months it has announced that At the end of October a digital notebook will be sold that does not fulfill what was promised but which is interesting, this digital notebook is called Noteslate Shiro.

Noteslate Shiro is a 6,8 ”eReader with a touch screen and a stylus that allows us to collect manual notes, underline texts, etc ... through the software that Noteslate Shiro has.

The Noteslate Shiro has an e-ink display with Pearl technology and a resolution of 1080 x 1440 pixels. It has a 1Ghz Freescale processor, 8GB of main storage that is expanded through a microsd slot, bluetooth and Wifi, it weighs about 240 grams. and it has a stylus as we have said before.

NoteSlate Shiro could occupy the low-end space of the Sony DPT-S1 market

The price of this device is $ 199, something quite high for today but if it is put to good use it may well be profitable for many. It is also rumored that Noteslate would be preparing a version of the 13 ”Noteslate Shiro, something that will compete with the Sony DPT-S1 and the Onyx eReader.

Possibly the solution would be something more affordable, although 13 "is very good, the price is very high, however an eReader of almost 7" is not very useful when writing, perhaps something similar with a size between 8 ”And 9,7” are more correct.

Still we have to be careful with the Noteslate Shiro, it would not be the first time that something was announced and then it did not come out. For the moment, if we are honest, we have to say that the only large screen eReader left is the Sony DPT-S1 since the rest, until you see it, is only vaporware, although vaporware possible.
