Carrefour has decided to enter the digital reading market and for this it has launched two eReaders, the nolimbook and Nnolimbook +, in addition to a platform to purchase books in digital format and also download them for free. First of all we are going to start by reviewing the most powerful eReader, which is priced at 99.90 euros and which aims to be a rival to Amazon's Kindle Paperwhite.
With a 6-inch screen, integrated light and a very careful design, Carrefour has managed to create a truly interesting eReader, for which we predict a good future, although you never know in a market where competition is fierce, with a king who leaves very little market share for other devices.
Now is the time to take a deep dive into the Nolimbook +, so get ready to learn a little better about Carrefour's new eReader.
Integrated
The Nolimbook + is made in white color plastic, where several blue touches attract attention, which give it a beautiful finish.
On its front we can find a central button in blue, in addition to the two buttons that will allow us to turn the page. At the bottom of the eRreader we can find the power button, also in blue, a slot for miro SDHC cards and the micro USB output.
The cut in the lower left corner is striking, which will allow us to take the device with one hand and without making it uncomfortable. It is not a revolutionary idea because most devices bring their rounded corners to allow us to hold the eReader with greater comfort, but it is surprising to say the least.
As for the screen, it is 6 inches, with a great definition and above all with a very palpable difference compared to other devices of this type. In other eReaders we can see the screen a little sunk in the frame of the device, while in the Nolimbook + we can see it at the same level as the frames. This small detail is very aesthetically beautiful and also makes turning the page much more comfortable.
Inside
Inside this eReader we can find a Cortex A8 Allwinner A13 microprocessor, running at a speed of 1 HGz and that together with 256 MB of DDR3 RAM allow the device to operate at a very high speed and offer us a very fast loading of eBooks and page turning.
The internal storage of the device is 4 GB, which will be more than enough to be able to store a large number of eBooks, although if it were not enough we can expand it using microSDCH cards of up to 32 GB.
Its battery, although we do not know how many mAh it is, we have been able to verify that with average use and without excessive abuse of the eReader light, we can use it perfectly for 9 weeks, or what is the same, something more than two months. As usual these indicative data and surely each user could squeeze more or less the battery of this device.
Of course, this Nolimbook + does not lack the micro USB connectivity that we have already talked about previously and the WiFi connectivity that will allow us to connect to the network of networks and for example to be able to make use of the Nolim platform and directly download the books in digital format that we buy directly.
