Last week Amazon announced the official launch in Spain and other countries of the Kindle Voyage, after a long wait. It also announced by surprise a new Kindle Paperwhite that replaces the one that had been on the market until now, which is still sold in many stores or department stores and which has some very interesting improvement that we are going to review through this article in which we can face to face the new and the old Kindle Paperwhite.
In the first place, it is interesting to make it clear that the price of both devices is the same, so unless we find the first one at a very low price, which will surely happen, we will undoubtedly have to acquire the new Kindle.

What has Amazon improved with the new Kindle Paperwhite?
If we look at the characteristics of each of the two devices, soon we will be able to realize that the improvements are not too many, but they are important. Starting with the screen, it has improved greatly, with a resolution of 300 dpi, the company directed by Jeff Bezos promises us that reading on this new Kindle Paperwhite will be like doing it on paper.
Regarding the design, everything remains the same and it will not be difficult to confuse the new Kindle Paperwhite with the old one. so be very careful if you are going to acquire one. Even the weight is exactly the same between the two Kindle.
Finally, to the novelties that we already find in the old Kindle Paperwhite, we now add the inclusion of the exclusive Amazon font named Bookerly and that will allow us a simpler and more comfortable reading.
Is the new Kindle Paperwhite worth buying?
For this question each user and especially each pocket will have an answer, and let me explain. There is no doubt that just for the improvement of the screen it is worth buying the new Kindle Paperwhite, but it could be the case (which will surely be the case) that the old Paperwhite suffers significant reductions in its price. If, for example, we will find the oldest device for less than 100 euros, I think that the opportunity should not be missed because the improvements introduced are not so important as to assume a greater expense, although that will depend as I said before each user and their budget.
The old Kindle Paperwhite was already a device of enormous quality that for 129,99 euros had a very good value-for-moneyIf we now find it discounted, it will be difficult to decide whether to spend a good handful of euros more on the new Paperwhite.

Amazon continues to polish its Kindle Paperwhite so that it remains an interesting option after the Kindle Voyage and also continues to be a reference in the market, with an enormous quality and above all a very adjusted price, even more when Kindle Paperwhite deals.
I fell in love with the Kindle Paperwhite the same day that I tried it and I can't see a day when the new Kindle can prove that its improved screen can offer us a reading experience simply unmatched.

Where is the Kindle Voyage with this new one?
In fact, on the Amazon website they only have the new Kindle for sale. As you say, unless the first one is very low, you have to go head first to the new one.
Cristian el Voyage is on a higher level. Its price is much more expensive (€ 190) although really the only improvements are at the design level (lighter, beautiful ..) than the screen.
I wonder if there will be a new kindle this year (I have doubts) and what improvements it will bring on these.
