PocketBook isn't that it's a well-known e-reader company, but launch a new device for reading digital books called PocketBook InkPad 2 whose main feature is that we are facing one that has an 8-inch screen.
This new product is an updated version of the InkPad. The new model has an improved screen, a clearer design and physical buttons to change pages. The peculiar thing about this new ereader is that it has some similarities to the Kindle Oasis, with the buttons for the page located on one of the sides with a larger bezel for a better grip.
An ereader that for that similarity to the Oasis and that it can be purchased for a lower price, makes it an interesting product for your purchase. Although yes, it has already been seen on eBay for 219 euros, so we are not facing a cheap device, although the size of its screen can fool someone.
Regarding its features, the InkPad 2 has a front light, capacitive touch screen, Wi-Fi, 4 GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for expand memory up to 32GB, a 1 GHz chip and 512 MB of RAM. It also offers audio support and has a built-in text-to-speech feature.
It offers a variety of functionalities due to the apps it has as they are ReadRate, Dropbox, Send to PocketBook, Book Store, Explorer, Audioplayer, Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Chess, Dictionary, Klondike, Photo, RSS News, Sudoku and Scrible. The screen has a resolution of 1600 x 1200, which means 250 ppi. Another advantage is the variety of file formats included: PDF, EPUB, DJVU, FB2, FB2.ZIP, DOC, DOCX, RTF, PRC, TCR, TXT, CHM, HTM, HTML, JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF , and MP3.
It weighs 350 grams and the measurements are 195,5 x 162,8 x 7,3 mm. An interesting ereader for those who do not look for a brand and want a variety of features.

Those of us who live in the American continent hardly hear from brands other than Kindle and Kobo, but (although the latter is one of my favorites) they are not the only or the best… when you say «… An interesting ereader for those who do not look for a brand … »It hurts, because for me it is.
If you are looking for a brand that was one of the first to release a color eReader (ColorLux), or a waterproof one (Aqua), or crazy things like a mobile phone case -cell phone- that is a reader in itself (Cover Reader) , with a camera - he takes them in color although they are seen in black and white there - (Ultra), or that he still manufactures small, very portable and low-cost models (Mini), go to his website, there is all that and some more.
Another thing in defense of this great unknown: The buttoned side grip design that is so similar to the Kindle Oasis actually copies the much older PocketBook ColorLux design.
