Kobo Aura One surprises everyone with its sales (including Kobo itself)

Kobo AuraOne

For a few days we can reserve and buy the new Kobo Rakuten eReader, the Kobo Aura One. And surprisingly this sale it has had to be suspended for a few days due to the high demand it is having the eReader.

In Canada, where the company originates, the eReader has run out quickly, surprising Kobo itself and the company's partners and of course, forcing the company to produce more units of the model in question.

The CEO of the company says that high demand is normal because the eReader caters to markets that were hitherto forgotten like big screen eReaders. Although they exist alternatives to the Kobo Aura One, The truth is that the quality of the materials, the ecosystem and the resistance to water make the model without any competition or at least that many users choose the Kobo Aura One.

Kobo Aura One sales have positively surprised Kobo Rakuten executives

This sales milestone has surprised the company itself despite the CEO's words, as they expected a lower demand than real, although they had to sell more units than normal, as can be seen in the stock. In any case, according to some company executives, the Kobo Aura One has outperformed the rest of its siblings in sales including the Kobo Glo HD, one of the best devices on the market.

Surprisingly, the case of the Kobo Aura One is not the only one. Already in April, when we met the Kindle Oasis, there was talk of a high number of units sold that made it impossible or difficult to collect damaged units, something that surprised many because it was the first eReader to reach that price and still sells quite well, according to Amazon. The Kobo Aura One, although priced lower, also has great sales Could it be that the price of the device no longer has anything to do with it?

In this case size does matter.

I also want to buy it but I am looking for a physical store and here in Mallorca they only sell Kobo in MediaMarkt and at the moment it does not appear on their website. Touch keep waiting.

    regards

It is that a reader of almost 8 inches, with that image quality, is much higher than the 6 inches that the Kindles offer. Amazon seems unaware that there is a large segment of the public that needs a larger reader.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and a Kobo Aura H20, and I clearly prefer the H20. The new Aura One looks even better.

    Amazon, wake up.

I bought it at Fnac. 10 days ago. The big screen makes you fall in love, the "hot" light great for reading at night.

Do not even think about buying at FNAC, I had to return it, it comes with advertising inside that cannot be erased and when you turn off the e-reader instead of the cover of the book you are reading, the FNAC logo appears large for all remains. Wait until they have it in another store. Kobo by FNAC no thanks.
