Kobo announces the Kobo Aura One

Kobo is back with an e-reader water and dust resistant that you intend to compete against Kindle Oasis. It is curious that the high price of the Oasis has been criticized, but there are already several manufacturers who seek to improve the performance and price of this ereader, so it must have something good to be objective.

Kobo has unveiled its new e-reader, the Aura One, which, as I mentioned, comes to battle the Oasis from Amazon. The device is characterized by a 7,8-inch screen with 300 ppi E-Ink that is larger than other e-readers and that comes with clear ideas to reduce exposure to blue light, so that any user can falling asleep easier when you read with her for a while.

This ereader is designed to resist water, which means that you can go to the pool with him without major problems. The Aura One is capable of holding up to 6.000 books in its 8GB memory and lasts for a month with a single charge.

The Aura One, being available for $ 230, wants to make it difficult for the Oasis by being priced at $ 60 cheaper than the Oasis and have a bigger screen. It will also be a matter of taste deciding on one or the other ereader, since while Amazon has 4,6 million books to its credit in the United States, Kobo has 5 million available globally. What happens is that Amazon also has magazines, newspapers and audiobooks in its Kindle Unlimited subscription.

The Aura One can be booked from August 30 or as of September 6 in stores. An interesting alternative to the Kindle Oasis that will make things more difficult for Amazon and increases the repertoire of this type of device.
