Kindle Voyage Vs New Kindle Paperwhite

Kindle

After many months of waiting, Amazon put its new Kindle Voyage on sale last week, an eReader that we could qualify as Premium, in Spain and many other countries around the world. This device is nothing new since it has already been sold for a long time in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom or Germany, but it is something new for all Spanish users.

Together with Kindle Travel the company directed by Jeff Bezos also officially launched a new Kindle Paperwhite with some other improvement, especially on its screen. These two new devices can put in great doubt any user who will have to decide between two devices that seem similar, but that are very different in terms of characteristics and above all price.

In this article we are going to put the new Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Voyage face to face so that you discover all their similarities and differences and you can decide whether to acquire one or the other.

If we take a look at the features and specifications of each device, we can quickly realize that the differences between the two eReaders are minimal.

Is the difference between the two devices real and palpable?

This is undoubtedly a difficult question to answer and is that despite the fact that the Kindle Voyage is right now the most powerful eReader on the market, the difference with the new Kindle Paperwhite is not so much, except in its design where the differences are noticed.

The screens have the same size and the same resolution. Internally, Amazon does not provide much information, but from what we have been able to find out, they are two very similar devices.

As we already said the only different point is the design, where the Voyage stands out widely with its very careful finishes, its premium materials and a slightly lower weight than the new Kindle Paperwhite that however we are not going to notice to a great extent.

Which one do I buy?

We continue with the complicated answer questions, and it is that here it will depend a lot on the budget we have and if we are willing to pay a few euros more for having a little more power, which will be practically priceless, and a very careful and different design.

If I had to decide I would buy a Kindle Paperwhite Because after all, most of us who use an eReader on a daily basis usually put a cover on it that will leave the Voyage design hidden. If I wasn't worried about money in the least, I would definitely buy a Kindle Voyage and enjoy it to the fullest.

Opinion freely

There is no doubt that we are dealing with two electronic books of enormous quality and that they would win in almost any comparison to other devices of this type on the market. Amazon has created two almost perfect eReaders, which differ mainly in their design and that they are indicated for users who like to enjoy digital reading, and for those who, in addition to reading, also want to enjoy design and the best materials.

Whether you choose the Kindle Voyage or the Kindle Paperwhite, I sincerely believe that you will have been successful and you will only have to start enjoying the eBooks and the different stories that are told in them.

With which eReader of these two would you choose if you had to choose?.

As well, the differences are rather at the design level I think. The Voyage is lighter, something that is appreciated the truth, and more beautiful because the screen is at the same height as the bezel. Other differences are the light sensor that the Voyage includes and the physical buttons ... I don't know if it also has a new font that the Paperwhite doesn't.
I think the differences are basically those and each one must decide if they compensate for the difference in price.

By the way, regarding what you say about the covers ... I have had them in all my ereaders and I have been disappointed. I don't want any more covers. I consider it a useless expense. A few months ago I took it off my Kindle and so happy. It is an expense for adults and also only adds weight to the ereader. What protects the screen? yes good but I must say that I have brought my kindle in the shoulder bag without the cover and without problem. In addition, generally most of us want to change the device every two years at the most, so it does not make sense so much care ...

As a comparison it leaves much to be desired. As an opinion of which one you can buy, still. A good comparison is made with the two devices in hand.
The difference is not only aesthetic, you have not commented anything about the pressure sensor, or the difference in weight, or the self-regulating light ... or the sensation of one and the other when holding it in your hand.
I hope that when you have them you will make a more thorough comparison.
