KDP Print, an alternative to CreateSpace?

Amazon books

In recent days we have seen how Amazon is doing a lot of testing with its services, expanding them or creating new ones like Prime reading, but we have also seen how some services will definitely join.

Several KDP users have warned about a merger of services between KDP and CreateSpace, an option called KDP Print in such a way that it allows to publish on paper or create books with our ebooks and acquire them at a reasonable price without having to use large print runs.

So far this function was intended for CreateSpace, an Amazon company. This kind of publisher made us print books on request, something quite useful for authors publishing ebooks and they want to publish a small number of books on paper.

Amazon's CreateSpace will follow after KDP Print, although it may also disappear

According to several users, a tab called KDP Print appears in their KDP panel that seems to offer the same as CreateSpace or at least links to CreateSpace services. This is for the moment only for certain users, but it seems that it will be the near future if Amazon does not have problems with this new implementation.

In any case many warn that CreateSpace could continue since many writers use it despite not publishing with Amazon KDP, with the consequent advantages for the company and for users, but Amazon could also make it disappear so that writers finish using your self-publishing service and leave the competitor's services.

Personally I believe that this unification of services is logical and already expected, that is, Amazon's trend will be to unify everything under the same screen and service for ease of use by writers who are not typically computer savvy, but Will Amazon really get writers to switch to KDP Print? Will this new service be really interesting? What do you think?
