InkBook Prime, a not so premium eReader

InkBook Prime

During the last Frankfurt Fair it was possible to see several models of the InkBook brand in addition to other reading devices. We thought that it would take time to see those eReaders on the market, but it seems that it will not be like that since some are already on the market.

Several blogs already report that Inbook Prime has been put on sale at a price close to the Kindle Paperwhite but not with its specifications, although we could say that with the option to buy from Amazon.

InBook Prime is an eReader with a 6-inch screen, with Carta technology and a resolution of 1024 x 758 pixels. The display is illuminated and tactile, so it is not much different from other eReaders such as the Kobo Glo HD or the Kindle Paperwhite. However, the InkBook Prime has a 1,2Ghz Freescale processor, 512 Mb of ram and 8 Gb of internal storage.

InkBook Prime will have several reading applications installed on the eReader

The eReader will have a Wifi and Bluetooth connection, something interesting for those who want to connect the eReader to the computer without cables. But also the InkBook Prime has Android 4.2, a version that we do not know if it has the Play Store but it will have many reading applications that will make the eReader in question read almost any ebook format.

The eReader battery has 2000 mAh, an interesting amount to read for several weeks without having autonomy problems although as always, it will depend on the use we give the device.

The price of the Inbook Prime is the closest thing we will find to a Premium price. The eReader has a cost of 139 euros, somewhat exaggerated for the features it presents, being slightly worse than the Kindle Paperwhite or the Kobo Aura Edition 2 but with a higher price for the user. Furthermore this device does not have to read audiobooks, something that many eReaders that compete with Amazon or Kobo already incorporate.

In any case, within Android eReaders, InkBook Prime is still a good option Do not you think?
