inkBook 8

It seems like Arta Tech has a new website and an 8-inch digital inkBook reader is available here in Europe. The device is known as inkBook 8 and is based on Android.

Among its most notable features is its 8-inch display, front light, Wi-Fi connectivity, 8 GB of internal storage, micro SD card, capacitive touch screen, dual core chip clocked at 1 GHz and 1 GB of RAM.

The inkBook 8 has an 8-inch E Ink Pearl display with a 1024 x 768 resolution with a ppi of 160. If compared to the Obsidian inkBook, this one has some quite important updates such as a higher resolution, physical buttons to change pages and a lower price to reach half, about 99 pounds sterling.

For one that comes out with a size that is out of the typical 6 ″, above with an affordable price, it has a low resolution.
How difficult is it to make a balanced mid-size ereader? Why in 6 ″ there are thousands of variants but outside of that there are only two 6.8 ″ models, two of 8 ″, another two of 12 ″ and stop counting?
