Caliber is now compatible with Kindle Oasis after its latest version

Caliber

Last Friday we received a new version of Caliber that many of you have received through the program in recent days and that many others will receive gradually, as the days go by. This Caliber update called Caliber 2.62 focuses on two main features that will actually affect few users.

One of those two new functions is Caliber's support for the new Kindle Oasis. The famous Amazon eReader is already compatible with the Caliber, but as we said before, the eReader does not have great sales and will not affect many Caliber users.

The second feature of Caliber 2.62 is improved editing of metadata in the new Epub3 format, a free format that little by little is being adopted by all bookstores and publishers that sell ebooks.

The Kindle Oasis is already compatible with Caliber, despite not having many users

In addition to these functions, as usual, the team of Kovid Goyal has fixed quite a few bugs in the program, especially the bugs related to the reading and output of certain file formats, such as the html output that was causing problems after the latest versions. As well as Russian news sources have been included to be able to use them in Caliber, something already traditional in Caliber updates.

But the most striking thing about all those who closely follow the work of the Caliber team is that it finally seems that They have recovered the usual schedule of releasing a version every Friday, something that has happened in the latest versions of Caliber and it seems that next Friday will take place or at least that is expected.

In any case, if you are one of the few who have Kindle Oasis, I recommend that you update to the latest version. Otherwise, the update is necessary but not essential, especially when large versions of Caliber are ventured for large eReaders.
