Booxup, an application that allows us to exchange books

booxup

The Pparís Book Fair is generating more news than we could expect, and that is if a few days ago we were able to see the bookstore of the future capable of printing and binding any book in its catalog in a matter of minutes, just yesterday a curious application was presented, baptized as booxup.

This service created by Robin Sappe and David Mennesson will allow any user to register in the application change, buy or sell books based on the location of each of the users. At the moment and unfortunately it is only available for devices with the iOS operating system, although on its website we can already see that it will be available very soon for devices with the Android operating system.

The operation of Booxup is quite simple, and once we register, we can scan all barcodes on our books, for the service to recognize and store them. From here we can activate geolocation to be able to see other users and their books around them, and that they can see ours.

Once we can see the library of other users, we can buy or exchange books. In the same way, those who see our books may be interested in them.

The creators of this new application have publicly commented that they have not invented anything, but have given an important facility to users so that they can share, buy or sell their books to other readers who are close to them.

Of course, they have not forgotten the books in digital format, of which they have said that "the digital book must be loaned, with restrictions, since the file is more volatile."

What do you think of this new application to exchange, buy or sell books?.
