Audible Unlimited, Amazon's new service for audibooks

Last week Amazon launched a new audiobook service in Japan. This new service has gone a bit under the radar as the new service is related to Audible. Audible Unlimited is the name of the new service and is intended to be a copy of Amazon's Kindle Unlimited.

And I say a copy well because in exchange for a monthly subscription the user will be able to listen to all the audios he wants, without limits and penalties in any way. This new service for the moment will be released in Japan and that is where it will be. Not to be confused with the premium audible service that exists in other countries that for a price you can listen to two or three audiobooks per month at the most. Audible Unlimited goes further and pretends to be like spotify but in an audiobook version.

Audible Unlimited will work like Spotify but with audiobooks

Mysteriously this release has coincided with the publication of several Reports which indicate that the audiobook is winning over the ebook among end users, something that is due among other things to its versatility in terms of devices.

Audible Unlimited has a catalog of more than 2.000 audiobooks that will become 10.000 audiobooks by the end of the year and for sale, Audible already has a catalog of 150.000 audiobooks, which will soon make its audiobook catalog huge and difficult to use. equalize.

Personally, I'm not very excited about audiobooks, but it seems that Audible Unlimited is an interesting service that may well attract many Spotify users, something that would benefit the service. Still I think a worldwide release or at least something more sounded. With this I do not mean that in Japan it is a service with little future but a broadening of horizons would not have been bad.Do not you think?

Nor is it that audiobooks excite me, although they can be interesting for some people (blind for example) or in some specific circumstance (for example to learn English pronunciation).

I wonder if this can make the next kindles have speakers like they used to ...
