Airbook City LED, a Ukrainian rival for Kindle?

Airbook City LED

Recently, the Ukrainian company Airon has launched its latest eReader, an eReader that will try to compete with the Basic Kindle in the country despite the fact that its price is not something that is below the current price of the Kindle.

But despite all this, the Airbook City LED has some interesting specs that even make the device competitive with other eReader models that are sold in other parts of the world, far from Ukraine.

The Airbook City LED is an eReader with a 6-inch screen, with a resolution of 1024 x 758 pixels and lighting. The Airbook City LED does not have a touch screen but a keypad, something rare these days, but it does have lighting unlike the basic Kindle. In the spec sheet, the company talks about more than 23 supported ebook formats, which is not bad, but you can also read audiobooks as it has audio output and mp3 support.

The Airbook City LED is capable of playing audiobooks in addition to ebooks

The battery of this reader is 1.500 mAh, a battery that will give an autonomy similar to the Basic Kindle, depending that is, on the use we give the device. This device also has a slot for microsd cards, something that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in eReaders.

The price of the Airbook City LED is 2299 UAH which at the exchange rate is just over 83 euros, approximately. A higher price than the basic Kindle but surely that for many readers and people looking for a basic eReader is more than enough.

Release It's getting easier to create an eReader that outperforms the basic Kindle, but none manages to have a price below this, something that makes the consumer opt for the Kindle instead of other eReaders, now well How long will this last? Will there be any company that gets a superior and affordable eReader? What do you think?
