Dutch store mistakenly leaks the Kobo Aura One

Kobo AuraOne

We knew it existed and also what it was called, but we didn't know anything about its specs, until now. A Dutch retail store has Mistakenly leaking data on the Kobo Aura One and its accessories, knowing not only in images but in data one of the eReaders that perhaps surpasses the others.

So it seems that This retailer has anticipated Michael Tamblyn's announcement, an announcement that we expected next week and that was undoubtedly going to be important.

The Kobo Aura One is an eReader with an 8-inch screen and a new design with plastics and rubber that make it waterproof. Yes finally the Kobo Aura One will be IP68 certified and with this it will be the replacement for the Kobo Aura H2O. The Kobo Aura One uses a Letter technology e-ink display with a resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels, illumination, and 300 ppi.

The Kobo Aura One will not have a slot for microsd cards

What does that in addition to having a great screen, the eReader has a great resolution. The processor has not been specified but we know that it will have 512 Mb of ram and 8 Gb of internal storage that cannot be expanded. Like the latest Kobo model, the Kobo Aura One has no microsd card slot. The device measures 195mm x 138.5mm by 6,9mm and weighs 252 gr, something that is not bad for the size of the screen.

The price of this device is the best. The Kobo Aura One will cost 229 eurosA high cost compared to the basic Kindle, but the Kobo Aura One is still cheaper than the Kindle Oasis and will have a higher screen and resolution.

Now we will be waiting for what Kobo says already know the missing data such as the battery you use or the accessories you will need, although everything indicates that this Kobo eReader will be a great device, not only in terms of quality but also in terms of price / quality, what do you think?

Well, it looks very nice and elegant. We will have to see the price as it is a very interesting device with that large screen and a contained weight.

I agree that the Kindle Oasis is expensive, okay. But it is that when you buy that device you are also buying your access to its store, there is no longer need to connect the ereader to the PC. I think that is what is really differential since websites with epubs I see less and less or those that exist close them. If I'm wrong, correct me.

    All the best

I have the H2O and it is tempting me a lot, the One to read at home and the H2O for travel, although if I found the Kobo Mini it would be milk

Well, as you say, the price is the best. I currently have the H2O and it is a joy, the best reader there is. We will have to see how the 8 inches feel in the hand, but with that resolution I am sure it is a good substitute for mine.

It still seems like a small screen to me to view documents with tables and graphs as pdf.
It seems to me that the appropriate size would be 9 inches, portable without being short.

Why don't you do a survey on the ideal size to read pdf documents with tables and graphs? let's see what people think
