Yes, we knew that color electronic ink screens existed and now some will have it in mind every day when they go to take the bus. The Singapore government has decided to make use of electronic ink panels for its bus stops, but they will not be simple panels but they will be color electronic ink panels.

Color e-ink panels will be placed throughout Singapore
The panels are made of E-Ink and they are already known because it was presented at the SID Display Week 2014, two years ago. Although we have to say that E-Ink will not be the one that markets directly with the Singapore government, it is not even the company in charge of the software that will manage the panels and the synchronization with the bus stops, this will be the role of the Visionect company. These panels will also have great autonomy as it will have solar panels and a battery that will provide the necessary operation of these posters during the day and also at night.
The model that will be implemented in the coming months in Singapore is created by Visionect company, a company that we already know and that seems to have a great future. If we take into account the prices that Visionect has on its website, each bus stop will cost more than 4.500 euros, a fairly high price for a bus stop, although in the long run the device may be more profitable than it may seem to us, since it will not only save energy but also allow advertisements of any kind to be published, being able to pay for itself quickly.
