The seventh season of Game of Thrones to premiere after the release of The Winds of Winter

Game of Thrones

HBO confirmed a few hours ago that the seventh season of Game of Thrones, the successful television series based on the literary saga Song of ice and fire by George RR Martin, to be released in 2017, although at a later date than April as usual until now. In addition, this confirms that the new season will arrive after the publication of the sixth book of the saga, Winter winds.

The new book in the literary saga was scheduled to be released some time ago, although there have been continuous delays without Martin or his publisher having given convincing explanations. After the announcement of the television network, perhaps soon we will see in bookstores around the world a new installment of one of the most popular literary sagas in history.

From the new season of Game of Thrones, which has already surpassed the books, we officially know that It will have only 7 chapters, something that has left many of its followers unsatisfied. What still does not seem confirmed is if this will be the last season of the series. These doubts arise due to the tremendous slowness with which George RR Martin publishes his books, to remember that we still have two titles to see in bookstores, and the difficulties to know if the sixth and seventh books will need one or more more seasons.

At the moment we have to wait to be able to enjoy the new season of Game of Thrones, but what seems imminent is the launch of Winds of Winter, the sixth title of Song of ice and fire in which we can securely tie many untied ends that we have from other books and the television series.

When do you think Winds of Winter will hit bookstores around the world?.
