Apparently several users have alerted to the presence of ADUPS in the Nook Tablet 7, the new B&N device. This program or malware known with ADUPS causes all our data to be sent remotely to external servers where it is manipulated by third parties.
ADUPS was considered this year as a malware that appeared on BLU company devices. Devices that Amazon also sold. However, BLU and those responsible for ADUPS affirm that the new versions of this software no longer do this, so it is not malware.
However, Linux Journal experts claim that this is not the case, that Nook Tablet 7 has old versions of ADUPS, so the danger is still there. The most logical thing would be to update the operating system and its applications or choose to delete the rom and install a different rom. However this is not possible.

The Nook Tablet 7 is a cheap tablet that Barnes & Noble buys in China and whose drivers are not yet available. This means that there is no rom for the tablet or strong customization that can end with ADUPS. Nor do we know that this software or ADUPS will be updated soon or even that the new versions do not manipulate our data. So it is best to return the device and choose a more secure one that does not share our most private or sensitive data such as account numbers, passwords, etc ...
Today Barnes & Noble has not commented on this matter., neither for better nor for worse, something normal if they do not want to panic among those who bought the device, although the simplest thing would have been to launch an update and apologize for what happened because the ADUPS software does not seem to appear in isolated models but on all Nook Tablet 7 units.
UPGRADE
Barnes & Noble has spoken out on this matter and stated that the version of ADUPS on its tablet is harmless and approved by Google. However, during the next few weeks they will release an update that completely removes the software.
