Barnes & Noble recalls its latest Nook Tablet from stores

Nook

Before November last year, Barnes & Noble's Nook line, one of the first Android tablets released in 2010, had been thought to be more or less dead. The bookstore had been selling its Nook brand for Samsung tablets later as a value option for the Korean company.

Today we know that it seems that there is something quite problematic with the new Barnes & Noble ereader tablet and that because of this it has had to remove all Nook Tablet 7 ″ tablets from stores to return to supplier. This includes demo kiosks and other tablet-related marketing elements.

It is Barnes & Noble itself that has confirmed this factas it appeared as a leak in days past. A leak that contained the photograph instructing store owners to return all hardware.

It is said to be related to the Adups spyware scandal, which caused phone maker Blu some pretty serious problems last year. The unnamed Chinese vendor of the Nook Tablet appears to have used some of that spyware. Barnes & Noble previously promised to release an update software that would remove built-in sypware, just like Blu.

Given these doubts, Barnes & Noble jumped to the fore to mention that the problem that appeared on tablets has nothing to do with spyware, and that it is related to a charging adapter which has been found to be faulty in the Nook Tablet 7 ″.

There are three cases that B&N is investigating and it would have to do with the adapter that breaks when connected to the socket. It does not affect the Nook tablet itself and there are no reports of damage to users, although it is recommended that users stop using the adapter until it is replaced by one. At the moment, this tablet can be charged with the computer.
